PGS detects 89% abnormalitiesShare:
 PGS or Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening could detect 89% if choromosonal abnormalities.The European society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) found studying embryos pre-implantation was as effective as genetic testing on implanted embryos which can endanger the pregnancy. PGS is not readily available in the US and many patients travel to Mexico for screening. IVF with PGS in Mexico allows patients to increase the chance of IVF success: Patients who suffer from genetic abnormalities or have a family history of genetic chromosonal problems can prevent passing diseases and conditions to children conceived through IVF by screening the embryos before implantation. IVF with PGS is particularly beneficial to patients suffering from age-related fertility where the risk of chromosonal abnormality is high.
